2024 Missoula Mammoths Schedule:

Basic Information: 

The Missoula Mammoths team is a “fall sport.” Typically, we start registration in April and/or May, pre-season events in May and June, practices start in early July, practice and races go through August and September, and the season wrap up with a few last practices and the last race in early October. This schedule is as accurate as we can make it, but please note some dates and events will change and additional events may be added later in the year.

2024 Schedule:

  • February through April: Coach Recruitment and Registration (Contact us to learn more)
  • March (tbd): Returning Athlete informal headcount and info gathering (keep an eye on TeamSnap for details)
  • April 1st 2024: Returning Athlete Registration! You’ll get more information on email and TeamSnap if you are a returning athlete.
  • April 15th 2024: Mammoths Meet n’ Greet Night- informal drop-in info session for prospective new athlete parents and guardians to chat with a few of our coaches and leadership team to learn more about our team, before the May 1st new athlete registration. April 15, 5pm-7pm, Dram Shop Central (2700 Paxson Suite G).
  • May 1st 2024 at 7pm: New Athlete Registration Visit the 2024 Mammoths Registration Info page for all the details.
  • May 19 and 19 2024: Montana Leaders Summit. (for coaches statewide- look for emailed details and register via MICL Singletrack Times)
  • June and first week of July: Special events TBD– past years have included; Bike Check and Meet the Coaches Night, MT League-wide GRiT Event in Bozeman, Coaches Trainings and Social.
  • July 8th 2024: Regular Practices begin – Mondays and Thursdays; July through October; generally speaking 5:15 – 7:30 pm (see TeamSnap for details, check in, and in case of heat, smoke, or other cancellations). 
  • July and August: Practices! Mondays and Thursdays! see Team Snap!
  • August 31st & September 1st 2024: Races- Crosscut Classic and Crosscut Short Course Double Header (2 scoring races in one weekend!), Crosscut Mountain Sports Center, Bozeman
  • September 14th 2024: Race- Herron Hustle, Herron Park, Kalispell
  • September 28th 2024: Race- Copper Kings Clash, Big Butte Open Space, Butte
  • October 5th & 6th 2024: Races- Lolo Final Landing, Rossignol Ranch, Lolo (with makeup race scheduled for Sunday in case a race is cancelled)
  • October (tbd): End of Season Team Party
  • October (tbd): Coach Appreciation Event

All major events and schedules are on TeamSnap (once you are a registered athlete or parent). You are required to check in on TeamSnap 24 hours ahead of every practice you plan to attend. Cancellations due to heat, smoke, or other situations will be announced on TeamSnap.
